Demolition & Cleanup

Selective and structural demolition with responsible debris hauling, recycling and a clean, ready-to-build site.

Clean demolition, start to finish

Whether you are gutting a single room or taking a whole structure down to the foundation, demolition needs planning, permits and a safe, tidy execution. Hidden hazards like asbestos, lead or mould have to be cleared first, and since we are licensed for abatement too, there is no juggling multiple contractors.

In Alberta most residential demolitions need both a development permit and a building permit, an asbestos assessment under Alberta OHS, and confirmed utility disconnections before a wall comes down. We handle the whole job: permits, surveys, disconnections, selective strip-outs or full teardowns, then hauling, sorting and recycling the debris, so you are left with a clean, level site that is ready for whatever comes next.

FAQ

Common demolition questions

01 Do I need a permit to demolish?+

Yes. In Alberta you generally need both a development permit and a building permit before demolishing a house, garage or larger accessory structure. We prepare and manage the applications and approvals for you.

02 Do you check for asbestos first?+

Always. Alberta OHS requires an asbestos assessment before demolition, and an Asbestos Project Notification for most homes built before 1990. Because we are licensed for abatement, we can survey and clear it in the same project.

03 What about gas, power and water?+

All utilities must be disconnected first. We arrange the free Click Before You Dig locate and coordinate the gas, power and water disconnections, including the ATCO Gas line cutback, before work starts.

04 Can you do just part of the house?+

Yes. We handle full structural teardowns, partial demolition like a garage or addition, and careful deconstruction for material reuse.
